Yoga therapy is a holistic process that works with the physical, emotional and
mental, as well as the breath and personality to promote overall healing in all
these dimensions. Each is dependent on the others and suffering in one very
often negatively impacts the others. Therefore, yoga therapy is not just yoga
poses working the physical level of the body. Rather, in choosing and
designing practices for your healing, I work to understand the dynamics at
play within you before developing a solution unique to you.
People come to yoga therapy for:
- Physical complaints like back pain, neck pain, knee pain
- Lifestyle imbalances like over-whelm, over-stress and fatigue
- Self-empowerment and to understand and break free of old patterns
What happens in a yoga session varies from client to client, but will include:
- Centering practices, guided meditation or body scan
- Physical yoga poses and movement
- Breathwork
- Dialogue and Inquiry
- Practices such as poses, breathing, journaling to do at home
Yoga Therapy with Christina is an unfolding process that allows time for exploration and feedback. Your
practices are carefully adjusted as you change. This individual approach enables you to make efficient and
safe progress in yoga. Beginners gain confidence as they are gently guided through new movements,
postures, breathing techniques, and as they explore more about themselves.
A central use of yoga is to explore the deeper meaning of our hearts and lives. Private sessions wherein you
develop a personal relationship with your teacher truly help to balance mind and emotions and nourish the
heart. In this way, our practice moves off the mat and we see new perspectives when we experience stress,
changes and growth.
Cost & Scheduling:
Single 50 minute Session: $90
4 Sessions per month (weekly) $85
12 Session Package: $960 ($80/session)
Sessions are held at Christina's home studio in beautiful Sausalito.
Christina may be available to come to your home for an extra travel fee of $25 per 1/2 hour of driving.
Sessions are 50 minutes in length, although often times we run over. Please let me know if you need to finish
exactly on time!
