Christina's inspiration to serve others through her teaching and coaching practice arose from the loving
support and example of her family. Her parents, quiet people with enormous hearts, worked hard so that
they could give more to the people in their lives. Due to their encouragement and generous support,
Christina has attained a Juris Doctorate from Georgetown University Law Center, and a Bachelor of Arts in
French Literature. She lived in Paris for a year attending L'Universite de la Sorbonne (programme des
etrangers) prior to attending law school. It was during the stressful time of law school that Christina began to
practice yoga and other forms of spiritual work.
She went on to work at the law firms Proskauer Rose and Sonnenschein in New York City and later in San
Francisco. As a lawyer, Christina handled cases for major corporations and routinely worked directly with
C-Level executives on employment and general business issues.. However, it became clear early on that
while the law was engaging from an intellectual perspective, it wasn't her true calling. After 6 years of
practicing law, Christina began to feel the draw to contribute in a way that was personally fulfilling as well as
beneficial to others.
She was born and raised in Oklahoma where her family still remains. Having lived in New York, Paris, and
Washington, DC, Christina can occasionally still be found wearing cowboy boots and listening to country
music. Now, she lives in Sausalito, California where she is learning to enjoy the fog as much as the sunshine.
Christina began teaching and coaching so that she could share her experience of moving toward more
purpose and self- acceptance with others. Christina has her own coach, who helps her grow, be
accountable and develop the parts of her self and life that although "already perfect, can always use a little
improvement."
In her own work, she integrates her education in body-centered psychotherapy (the Hakomi Method), life
coaching techniques, group process dynamics, group facilitation, eastern spirituality and over ten years of
yoga and meditation practices into a highly-skilled yet intuitive approach to counseling and coaching her
clients. She brings a deep reservoir of tools and experience to support her clients in learning to shift not
only how they are feeling, reacting and what they are doing, but also to shift who they are being in those
moments.
